We have visited Dickandwills on numerous occasions and never had a bad meal, but last night's was the best yet.Trip Advisor, April 2014
We arrived without a reservation and you fitted us in although you were almost full. There were four of us, all chose different items from the menu and none of us was disappointed...Trip Advisor, July 2014
Wow what an amazing place to eat .
The food is wonderful and the service fantastic.
You will need to book to get a table for dinner but well worth it .
We sat outside for drinks - the view is second to none, then moved inside for our delicious meal - second meal in 4 days there, would highly recommend.Trip Advisor, June 2014
This place was recommended to us by locals and after checking out the menus around Salcombe we are very glad that we chose to come here for our one child-free night of the holiday...Trip Advisor, July 2015
We came in summer and sat outside. It got a bit chilly but the patio heaters & blankets saved the day. The service was superb - food came out very quickly and was delicious. We were celebrating our wedding so the team there gave us a little chocolate pot desert on the house . Lovely touch and much appreciatedTrip Advisor, 2017
Great location, great food and good service. Go for a table on the terrace...if possible.Trip Advisor, July 2015
From staying in Salcombe for 10 days, we visited Dick and Wills 6 times (every day after we first ate there). Located over looking the estuary, you will find everything you need, from the great food to the even better waitresses.Trip Advisor, June 2014
My husband booked a table by phone a month before our visit and mentioned that it was our Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived we had a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. We had a table by the window with a beautiful view of the estuary. The staff were attentive and available if needed. I was trying to decide which wine to have, the waitress offered for me to try the wine. The wine came with a wine chiller and was beautifully chilled. For starters I had prawn cocktail and due to me being a coeliac I asked whether they had any gluten free bread to have with it, which they did. The prawn cocktail was very tasty and a generous portion, the prawns were very fresh. My husband had a Szechuan Pork Sung starter which again was generous and very tasty. For mains I had the pan seared seabass served with Olive Oil roasted Potatoes with Onion, Garlic, Tomato and Local Buttered Broad Beans, genuinely this was the best seabass I have ever had! The flavours were out of this world a "taste sensation". My husband had Chargrilled Gourmet Prime Fillet Steak Burger, he could not fault it. The food was beautifully presented and all the portions were generous, Although my husband had booked over a month before they had remembered that it was our anniversary and they brought out a pudding to share with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate sauce. The whole experience - atmosphere, food and staff were excellent. In our experience, this is by far the best restaurant in Salcombe. We cannot wait to return!Trip Advisor, 2017
